 Acting Teacher, Christopher Shaw:

"One of the most thrilling moments for me always in an acting class is when I realize that the student has been made to feel safe enough, confident enough, and left to his or her own devices enough that suddenly the creative impulses are self generated, self inspired, and true.

My goal is that through a series of theatre games, improvisation, and scene study, and an active examination of basic technique, the student actor is led to a place of knowing themselves and trusting their own impulses and instincts."

Following a fun and creative path from the freedom of "play" (improvisation, theatre games) to more advanced acting exercises (based on the work of Strasberg, Meisner and Stanislavsky) and a strong focus on detailed scene work from published plays. The class focuses on the group as an ensemble as well as discovering, exploring, and strengthening the unique talents of each individual actor.
