presents the premiere production of

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream

or The Night They Missed
The Forest For The Trees.”

This adaptation of the Shakespearean play stars Will Rothhaar, Miles Marcus, Redmond McKenzie and Addison O’Connor. These young actors follow in the footsteps of their actor/director/writer parents, all theater award recipients and all members of Pacific Resident Theatre. The young actors in this productions have credits that include roles in current and upcoming films such as “Jack Frost” with Michael Keaton, “Hearts in Atlantis” with Anthony Hopkins, and the CBS miniseries “On Golden Pond” with Christopher Plummer and Julie Andrews. This production is directed by Sarah Zinsser, one of the founding members of Pacific Resident Theatre and winner of the 1999 Drama Critic’s Circle Award for her role in “Bitter Women.” Nancy Linehan Charles is the adapter of “A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM or The Night They Missed the Forest for the Trees”. It is being produced with permission of Dramatic Publishing.

The setting is study hall, teenagers, one of the great-unsolved mysteries of the world. Three young streetwise storytellers weave this magical tale into an easy to understand adventure for audiences of all ages. While these unwitting, well-meaning goofs stumble into their 15 minutes of celebrity, observers are transported through this midsummer night’s dream while bedazzled by a devilish prankster. If you’ve ever loved, lacked, or feared Shakespeare…now’s the time to take the journey and let it work its magic.
