He has appeared onstage in L.A. with various companies (i.e. Pasadena Playhouse, The Ahmanson, the Skylight, Evidence Room. the Blank). Prior to that he did scores of plays in New York, including the original Off-Bway productions of WHEN YOU COMIN’ BACK, RED RYDER, LIFE CLASS, STRANGE SNOW, ISADORA DUNCAN SLEEPS WITH THE RUSSIAN NAVY, KENNEDY AT COLONUS, THE PROMISE, and THE FOREIGNER, and on Broadway in THE CRUCIFER OF BLOOD. He also played George in ALL MY SONS with Richard Kiley. He spent 9 seasons with the O’Neill Playwrights Conference(under the late and great Lloyd Richards) and has been a regular summer participant( as actor and director) at the Seven Devils Playwrights Conference over the past decade. He has worked in regional theatres all over the place, most recently at the George Street Playhouse in New Jersey doing SIGHT UNSEEN and GOD OF CARNAGE. He has guest-starred in dozens of television shows and for the past three years has recurred as Crazy Earl in the series HART OF DIXIE. He will be appearing soon in the pilot GUILT BY ASSOCIATION by Marcia Clark. Movies include FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS, STARSHIP TROOPERS, RED DRAGON, CRAZY, HOME ALONE III, and the cult classic C.H.U.D. He is married to the lovely and talented actress/writer Mary Portser.
