CLARINDA
ROSS
(AEA, SAG, AFTRA)
Ms. Ross has performed at many major regional
theatres including the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, the Alliance
Theatre (Atlanta), and The Alley Theatre (Houston). She also
spent four years as a leading lady with the Atlanta Shakespeare
Company.
Ms. Ross has toured her one-woman show
From My Grandmother's Grandmother Unto Me from Vidalia, Georgia
to Lillehammer, Norway. Clarinda starred in the movie version
of Grandmother for PBS directed by John David Allen.
She recently completed a successful twelve-week
run of her new show, Spit Like A Big Girl, at the Met Theatre
in Los Angeles.
PRT fans may remember her as "Mrs.
Mercy Croft" in The Killing of Sister George.
Feature film credits include: Blue Sky
with Jessica Lange and Tommy Lee Jones, Fluke with Matthew Modine,
and The Sky is Falling.
Her episodic television credits include:
The Drew Carey Show, Judging Amy, E.R., The Client, NewsRadio,
Days of Our Lives, In The Heat of The Night, and I'll Fly Away.
She has also appeared in several movies
of the week, most notably the Emmy award-winning Stolen Babies
with Mary Tyler Moore. A veteran of numerous commercials, racing
fans may recognize her as the "NASCAR" mom. Ms. Ross
is on the National Council of Actors' Equity Association. Clarinda
has three children, Clara, Frank, and Gus and is married to the
actor, Googy Gress. She lives with her family in Santa Monica.
